On Monday, the makers of Pedakapu unveiled the trailer of the film, which is directed by Srikanth Addala. The trailer showcases a rustic village setting, where the protagonist Virat Karna takes on the oppressive landlords. The trailer begins with a gripping scene, where Tanikellabharani powerful dialogue about women.
The trailer also reveals the political and factional conflicts in the village, and the intense action scenes where Virat Karna challenges the elders. Interestingly, director Srikanth Addala makes a cameo appearance as an actor in the trailer, and kills his enemy in a brutal manner. He seems to play a powerful character with negative shades in the film, as suggested by the dialogue of the villagers at the end of the trailer, “Talalu Narikeyandra…Athma Gauravama…Kovwa.‘’
Pedakapu is a story of a common man who fights against the tyranny of the village elites. The film marks the debut of Virat Karna as a hero in Tollywood, opposite Pragathi as the heroine. The film is produced by Miryala Ravinder Reddy under Dwarka Creations banner.
The film also features Rao Ramesh, Naga Babu and Tanikellabharani in important roles. The music is composed by Mickey Jay Meyer. The film is slated to release worldwide on September 29. This is Srikanth Addala’s next directorial venture after Narappa.
