Family Star, the upcoming movie featuring Vijay Devarakonda and Mrunal Thakur, has decided to opt out of the Sankranti clash. The movie, which is produced by Dil Raju, was supposed to compete with films like Guntur Karam and Hanuman. However, the movie is still in the shooting stage and the post-production work is pending. Vijay Devarakonda, who is facing a slump after the failures of Liger and Khushi, wants to ensure a quality product. He reportedly advised Dil Raju to avoid rushing the release and wait for a better slot in February or March.
The next schedule of Family Star will take place in America. The shooting is expected to wrap up by the end of December. Then, the post-production work will begin. A glimpse video of the movie has already been released, showing Vijay in different looks. A romantic poster of Vijay and Mrunal was also unveiled on Diwali. The movie is directed by Parashuram, who delivered a blockbuster with Vijay in Geetha Govindam. Vijay is banking on this movie to revive his career. Meanwhile, Sankranti next year will witness big releases like Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Karam, Venkatesh Saindhav, Ravi Teja Eagle and Teja Sajja Hanuman.
