Vijaykanth, a veteran actor of Kollywood and the leader of Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) party, was rushed to a hospital in Nungambakkam, Chennai, a few days ago due to mild chest pain. On Saturday, DMDK issued a statement saying that he was fine.
But the latest reports suggest that the actor’s condition is critical and he is on ventilator support. There is no official confirmation from the hospital or the party yet. The actor’s fans are praying for his health and hoping for his quick recovery. Vijayakanth quit acting in 2015 and joined politics.
