800 Movie Release date: The biopic of Muthiah Muralidaran, the legendary Sri Lankan cricketer, titled ‘800’, is all set to hit the screens on October 6th. The film, which stars Madhur Mittal of ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ fame as the lead actor, will be released in three languages: Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. Sridevi Movies’ Sivalenka Krishna Prasad, who has produced Telugu hits like ‘Aditya 369’, will distribute the film across India.
The trailer of the film was unveiled recently by none other than Sachin Tendulkar, the master blaster. The producers said “Our film is not just about cricket, but also about the emotions and struggles of Muthiah Muralidaran”.
The complete life and career of Muralidaran is shown in this film, from his childhood to his achievements and what controversies he faced. “The audience will be fascinated by the unknown aspects of his journey,” said Krishna Prasad, the distributor. Mahima Nambiar plays the role of Madhimalar Ramamurthy, Muralidaran’s wife, in this film. This movie is directed by MS Sripathy, the film also features a host of talented actors such as Naren, Nassar, Vela Ramamoorthy, Riythvika, Vadivukkarasi, Arul Das, Hari Krishnan, and Sarath Lohithaswa.
