Mahesh Bhatt has produced many films in Hindi and launched his two daughters Pooja Bhatt and Alia Bhatt as actresses in the industry. Pooja Bhatt, the daughter of his first wife, was a popular heroine in her time. She is now doing well as an actress and producer.
But 33 years ago, a photo shoot of Mahesh Bhatt and Pooja Bhatt locking lips for a magazine created a sensation. They faced a lot of criticism for kissing like lovers. Pooja Bhatt clarified this issue in a recent interview. Her comments are going viral.
“It is a very normal thing. But, it is very unfortunate that some people misinterpreted those photos. They criticized me a lot at that time for kissing my father on the lips. I still remember what Shahrukh Khan said then. Parents kiss their children like this when they are young. Even when the children grow up, parents still treats them like kids. To be honest, my father still treats me like a kid,” Pooja Bhatt said.
“I was not aware of the society when I did that photo shoot. People see things as they want to. Those who question the relationship between father and daughter can imagine anything. They can make any kind of comments. It is a joke that such people talk about family values again,” Pooja Bhatt reacted to the lip lock with her father. Pooja made her debut as a heroine at the age of 17 with the movie Dadi and became a star in her teens.
