Adipurush HD print leaked on YouTube

The HD version of Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan starrer ‘Adipurush’ was leaked online a few days ago, becoming a victim of piracy. The makers have not yet announced the official date of the OTT release of the film, but it was already available on YouTube and garnered 2.3 million views. The makers have not responded to the leak yet, but the link was later removed. Adipurush is still playing in theatres and is likely to have a big OTT release soon. However, this leak might affect the excitement and revenue of the digital release of the film. ‘Adipurush’ has faced several controversies since its teaser was released last year. The film, which is based on the Hindu epic Ramayana, had a budget of around Rs 500 crore and was released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages worldwide. The film got mixed responses from the Indian audiences, who slammed the film for its bad dialogues and poor VFX. Some communities also accused the filmmakers of insulting Hindu sentiments with their wrong depiction of the deities. The makers then altered some of the dialogues that were criticized and re-released the updated version of the film in theatres with lower ticket prices to appease the audience.
