He revealed the films and web series that he will produce under his banner Spirit Media at the event in California, USA. While many people expected him to attend the event for the movie Project K, Rana made this unexpected announcement. He also gave some details about his movie Hiranyakashyapa and another web series.
Rana confirmed that he will make a movie on Hiranyakashyapa, a mythical king who defied Lord Vishnu. Rana will produce this movie under his company Spirit Media and also play the role of Hiranyakashyapa. The movie will be based on the stories from Amar Chitra Katha comics, a popular series of Indian mythology. The renowned writer and director Trivikram Srinivas will pen the script for this movie. The project had been in the speculation for a long time, but Rana made it official at the Comic Con.
Rana will also produce a historical web series called Lords of Deccan under Spirit Media. The series will explore the origin and reign of the Chalukya dynasty, one of the ancient rulers of India. Rana wants to showcase the history and culture of the Chalukya era and empire. He will partner with Sony Liv, a streaming platform, to produce the Lords of Deccan series.
Rana will also introduce the comic character of Minnal Murali, a Malayalam superhero movie, in Tinkle, a famous comic magazine. He will collaborate with Weekend Blockbusters, the producers of Minnal Murali, for this venture.
