Vishwak Sen, who has impressed the audience with his movies like Falaknuma Das and HIT, is now gearing up for his next film, titled ‘Gangs of Godavari’. The movie is directed by Krishna Chaitanya, who has previously directed films like Rowdy Fellow and Chal Mohanaranga.
The title and the first glimpse of the film were released on Monday, creating a positive buzz among the viewers. The first glimpse showed Vishwak Sen in a mass avatar, speaking in Godavari slang and standing up against the powerful people of high status. The movie is said to be a political thriller revolving around the sand mafia in the Godavari region. The glimpses also showed the fish ponds, the sand boats, and the rustic locales of the Godavari backdrop.
Vishwak Sen’s character name in the film is Lankala Ratna, and the whole story revolves around his character. Neha Shetty, who was seen in DJ Tillu, is playing the female lead in the film. Actress Anjali will also be seen in a crucial role in the film.
Gangs of Godavari movie is produced by Sitara Entertainments in association with Sreekara Studios and Fortune Four Cinemas. Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing the music for the movie Gangs of Godavari. It is reported that Vishvaksen, who used to deliver dialogues in Hyderabad dialect in his movies, has learned Godavari slang for the first time for this movie.
