Bhola Shankar Break Even Target: The latest film of Chiranjeevi, Bhola Shankar, has the lowest break even target among his movies in his second innings. The film is a remake of the Tamil hit Vedalam and is directed by Meher Ramesh. It is releasing on August 11 worldwide with the sentiment of Brother and Sister.
The film has done a pre-release business of around 80 crores globally, according to reports. In Nizam, the theatrical rights have been sold for 22 crores, while in Ceded and Uttarandhra, they have been sold for 12 crores and 10 crores respectively. The overseas business is around 7 crores, thanks to the Chiranjeevi craze. The total pre-release business in Telugu states is around 70 crores. The film needs to collect 82 crores to break even.
This is much lower than Chiranjeevi’s previous films in his second innings. Waltair Veerayya did a pre-release business of 90 crores, Acharya did 95 crores, and Syeraa Narasimha Reddy did a whopping 180 crores. The reason for the low pre-release business of Bhola Shankar is that it is a remake film.
Bhola Shankar stars Tamannaah as the female lead, while Keerthy Suresh plays Chiranjeevi’s sister. Sushant plays an important role. The film is produced by Anil Sunkara under the banner of AK Entertainments.
