The much-awaited film Salaar, starring Prabhas and directed by Prashanth Neel, is creating a lot of buzz before its release. The film is slated to hit the screens on September 28 in two parts, with the first part titled Salaar: Part 1 Ceasefire.
Salaar has secured a massive release in all the Cinemark theatres in the USA, which is a feat that no other Telugu film has achieved so far. RRR, which released in 285 Cinemark theatres, was the previous record holder. Salaar will also release in 1980 screens across North America, including the IMAX version.
Salaar boasts of a star-studded cast, including Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran, Kannada actors Shriya Saran and Madhu Guruswamy, and Shruti Haasan as the female lead. KGF actor Yash is also said to have a guest appearance in the film. Produced by Hombale Films with a huge budget. Salaar teaser has received rave reviews from the audience.
Prashanth Neel, who is known for his stylish and gritty filmmaking, has reportedly taken inspiration from his own film KGF for Salaar. According to sources, there is a scene in Salaar where Prabhas fights with the villains in front of a giant statue of Goddess Kali, similar to the scene where Rocky Bhai beheads Garuda in front of a deity’s idol in KGF. This scene is said to be the interval bang of Salaar, where Prabhas’ character attracts the attention of all the enemies.
