The first glimpse of the highly anticipated film Kalki 2898 AD, formerly known as Project K, has lived up to the expectations. The glimpse showcases the Hollywood-level visuals and production values of the film. The film unit also revealed the official title of the film, Kalki 2898 AD, along with the glimpse. The glimpse was launched at the prestigious San Diego Comic Con event, where director Nag Ashwin and pan India star Prabhas interacted with the Hollywood media. Prabhas also shared some interesting details about his character in the film.
Prabhas said that he was impressed by the way Nag Ashwin designed his character for Kalki 2898 AD. He said that his character is a superhero with a touch of humour in the film. He also said that the film has a strong emotional quotient. “My character is a superhero in this. The interesting thing is that he is also a bit funny. I really liked how Nagy (Nag Ashwin) designed my character. He (his character) is the only funny one in the entire project. Nagy is very bold in portraying emotions. The film is very strong in terms of emotions. I am the only comedian in this film (laughing…),” Prabhas said. It seems that Prabhas will balance his serious superhero role with some comic relief in the film. It also seems that Prabhas’ action scenes will be a highlight of Kalki 2898 AD.

Kalki 2898 AD is set in the futuristic year 2898, as suggested by the title. The first glimpse shows the stunning graphics and cinematography of the film, which are comparable to Hollywood superhero films. Prabhas’ look in the glimpse is also praised by everyone.
The film features a star-studded cast, including Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani and Pasupathy. Kamal Haasan is reportedly playing the antagonist in the film. The film’s music is composed by Santhosh Narayanan. The film unit has planned to release the film next year.
