Leo, the latest smash hit from Thalapathy Vijay, is ready to make its digital debut after breaking box office records in Tamil Nadu and earning over RS 600+ Crores worldwide. This film will be available on Netflix in four languages: Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.. Netflix announced the much-awaited OTT release dates for Leo on Monday. The film will premiere on Netflix in India on November 24 and globally on November 28.
The producers of Leo have agreed to a four-week window between the theatrical and OTT release of the film. This means that the film will not be screened in Hindi national Plexes, which require a six-week gap between the two platforms.
Leo is based on John Wagner’s graphic novel “A History of Violence”, which was also adapted into a Hollywood film. The film boasts of a star-studded cast that includes Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Trisha, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Madonna Sebastian, George Maryan, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, and Mathew Thomas, along with Vijay.
Leo, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, received mixed reviews from critics when it released on October 19, 2023. However, Vijay’s charisma, the hype around the LCU franchise, and Anirudh’s electrifying music ensured that the film was a huge success at the box office. Lokesh Kanagaraj also co-wrote the film with Rathna Kumar and Deeraj Vaidy. Leo is produced by S. S. Lalit Kumar and Jagadish Palanisamy.
