Jailer USA Collections: The latest film of Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, Jailer, has hit the screens yesterday and received a super hit response from the audience. The film, directed by Nelson Dilip Kumar and produced by Kalanidhi Maran under Sun Pictures banner, showcases Rajinikanth’s style, action and swag in a thrilling story. The film also has Anirudh Ravichander’s background music as a major attraction. Jailer getting positive reviews from critics and fans.
Jailer has also created a sensation at the American box office, The film has collected a whopping $11,58,000 (1.58 million dollars/ approximately Rs.9.5 crores) on its first day alone in America (USA), making it the highest grossing Indian film of the year in the US market. Jailer has also surpassed the lifetime collections of Vijay starrer Varisu (Varasudu in Telugu) in America, which had collected 1.41 million dollars (roughly Rs. 9.4 crores) in its entire run. Jailer had a huge advance booking and a wide release in America, which helped it achieve this feat.
Jailer is expected to repeat the same magic in India, where it was released yesterday. Trade pundits are predicting that the film will gross Rs.49 crores on its first day in India, with Rs. 25 crore coming from Tamil Nadu alone. The official figures of the first day collections in India will be revealed today (August 11). Jailer is likely to break many records and emerge as a blockbuster hit for Rajinikanth and his fans.
