Famous actor comedian Satinder Kumar Khosla has passed away. The actor famous in the film world as Birbal Khosla breathed his last on the evening of Tuesday, 12 September. He was ill for a long time and was admitted to the hospital. The news of the actor’s demise has troubled people associated with the entertainment world. Satinder made the audience laugh a lot through his comic characters in many films.
Satinder was born on 28 October 1938. The versatile actor was mainly known for comic characters. His stage name was Birbal and people used to call him by this name in the film world. According to reports, he suffered a head injury some time ago, after which he was in distress. Satinder breathed his last at the age of 84.
Satinder started his journey with films like ‘Do Badan’ in 1966 and ‘Upkaar’ in 1967. After this, he got a lot of fame through V. Shantaram’s film ‘Boond Jo Ban Gayee Moti’. Birbal had worked in more than 500 films in Hindi, Punjabi, Bhojpuri and Marathi languages. Even today people remember Satinder for the film ‘Sholay’, in which he was seen with a short moustache. ‘Tapasya’, ‘Mera Gaon Mera Desh’, ‘Charlie Chaplin’, ‘Anurodh’, ‘Amir Garib’, ‘Sadma’, ‘Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke’, ‘Gambler’, ‘Phir Kabhi’, ‘Mr and Mrs. ‘Khiladi’ etc. were some of his special films. He was last seen in the film ’10 Nahi 40′ in the year 2022.
In his long career, Satinder worked with big artists like Manoj Kumar, Rajesh Khanna, Jitendra, Dharmendra, Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, Mumtaz etc. It is said that Manoj Kumar and director Raj Khosla had changed his name from Satinder to Birbal.
