Meera was a 12th standard student at Church Park School, Chennai. She was reportedly suffering from academic stress for a long time. This is believed to be the reason behind her suicide. Vijay Antony is devastated by the loss of his daughter.
Meera was found hanging from a ceiling fan in her house around 3 am on Tuesday. She used her dupatta to hang herself. She was rushed to Kaveri Hospital, but the doctors declared her dead on arrival.
The police have registered a case and are investigating the matter. The exact cause of the suicide is yet to be ascertained. Vijay Antony was not at home when the incident occurred.
