Tollywood star Venkatesh turned into a fanboy as he clicked selfies with his idols and posted them on Instagram. On Wednesday (November 15), he met former England footballer David Beckham and West Indies cricket legend Viv Richards, who were also there to watch the semi-final between India and New Zealand.
Venkatesh travelled to Mumbai to witness this semi-final match. He was accompanied by his elder brother and producer Suresh Babu. He first took a selfie with Viv Richards and shared it on his Instagram story. He captioned the photo, “Extremely happy to meet the legendary Viv Richards at the India-New Zealand semifinal match.”
Later, Venky snapped another selfie with David Beckham. He uploaded this photo on his story and tagged David Beckham, saying, “Great company to watch a great innings”. The Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai was filled with celebrities from Tollywood, Bollywood and sports.
Team India also gave them a reason to celebrate as they secured a historic win over New Zealand and advanced to the final. Virat Kohli’s 50th ODI century and Shami’s 7 wickets were the highlights of this semi-final. Team India is all set for the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. They will face the winner of the second semi-final between Australia and South Africa on Thursday (November 16).
